Thomas and Friends Party Games

Thomas and
Birthday
Children will have fun playing this version of "Simon Says." The birthday child can start this game by being Sir Topham Hatt while the others can pretend to be Thomas, Percy, or another favorite character. Only when your child shouts "Sir Tophatt Hatt says," do the children follow the command.
For example, "Sir Topham Hatt says, bend your knees," "Sir Topham Hatt says, put your hands on a friend’s shoulders," "Sir Topham Hatt says, pretend you’re an engine." If they don't hear "Sir Topham Hatt says," no one should move. The game should be all about having fun, not winning!
Sing Songs Everyone loves to sing popular songs, so how about leading the little engineers in, "I’ve Been Working on the Railroad," "Down by the Station," "Little Red Caboose," or Thomas’ "Roll Call Song." Add in props such as bandannas, engineer caps, lanterns, train whistles, and gloves to add more fun.
Time to Eat The party is fun, and the kids are getting hungry. All will love Thomas sandwiches which can be made with turkey, peanut butter, or cheese. Cut the crusts off the bread making square-shaped sandwiches. Arrange the square sandwiches on a plate on top of carrot sticks (or in this case, tasty railroad ties.) Add windows, wheels and smoke stacks with crackers, small pieces of fruit and vegetables. Call children to the table by saying, "All aboard for lunch!" And don’t forget the Thomas birthday cake. Yummy!
