Decorate
Have fun decorating for the party by hanging primary colored crepe paper around the house. Use gray duct tape to make a railroad track leading up to the front door of your home. Guests can "chugga chugga choo-choo" right into a make-believe Island of Sodor.
Make Name Cards or Welcome Posters
Party guests will feel special with personalized name cards, certificates or posters, and you and your child will have fun making them. With some primary-colored construction paper, cut out rectangles, triangles and circle shapes. Glue the shapes on a piece of paper to make a train, and write the name of each child on the train.
Here Comes Thomas
Collect three large boxes and draw and color one of the boxes to resemble Thomas. Then paint the other boxes brown - one can be Annie and the other Clarabel, Thomas’ favorite coaches.
