Materials: • Neighborhood fire station • Crayons • Paper
Directions: Have your child draw pictures for the firefighters. They can be “thank you” cards to show appreciation for the jobs firefighters do, or pictures of firefighters putting out fires. Take the pictures or cards when you visit firefighters at the fire station. Introduce your child to the firefighters and ask them to talk to your child about what it’s like being a firefighter. It would be a good idea to call before you visit; to find a time that allows the firefighters to visit with you and your child.
